The Sutta Group

Dedicated to the Study of the Pali Canon of Buddhism

About the Sutta Group

The Sutta Group is a group of persons interested in the study of the Pali Canon of Buddhism. It was founded by Lyn Cameron and operated for several years in Sandgate in Brisbane, Australia. The Group met montly to discuss a given Discourse (Sutta) of the Buddha from the Tripitaka, a collection of ancient Buddhist documents originally compiled in the Pali language. To facilitate the discussion a Document consisting of the Discourse selected is circulated to members before the Meeting. This Page contains some of the Discourses considered in recent months.

Since the departure of Lyn interstate the Group has been meeting in St Lucia in Brisbane, Australia. The Group operates on the basis of consensus. There is no Teacher or Leader.
